The Three Spirit Chiefs of the Chiricahua

About This Painting – Three Spirit Chiefs of the Chiricahua

The area of this painting is in the Chiricahua National Monument. The day I was visiting, I was reflecting on the history of the Chiricahua Apache.

Namely: Mangas Coloradas, Cochise, and Geronimo. Coincidentally, three hawks were circling above.

While Geronimo was not a tribal chief, he was a medicine man, a leader, and a war chief of the Chiricahua Apache.
