Timothy K. Lewis – Historic Landscapes and Legends

Timothy K. Lewis paints the soul of 19th-century America, capturing not only what remains but what once was.

With a reverent eye and a storyteller’s heart, his brush brings history to life. One painting may portray a quiet battlefield where the echoes of Gettysburg still linger. Another may stir with the dust and motion of oxen-drawn wagons crossing Wagon Mound, or cowboys and lawmen returning to the streets of Tombstone.

He paints both stillness and story through landscapes left behind, and the legends that passed through them.

Whether it’s a forgotten fort standing alone against the horizon or a lively Western town teeming with the faces of the past, each piece is a portal. Through precise detail and vivid imagination, Timothy invites us to step inside: to remember, reflect, and relive.

These are not just paintings. They are windows into the American spirit, where peace was hard-won, and where every trail, bridge, and shadowed ridge carries a memory worth honoring.
